First of all, I think this lab was SO cool. Very good idea. Also, I found it interesting that multiple people would seem interested, peer into the basket, and then decline. Strange.
This was a really good lab!!! I wish more people would have taken Brownies but i'm not surprised! I probably would not have taken brownies from a stranger!
Wow, I'm really surprised at how many people just walked right by! Brodie looks totally trusting and sweet and people still declined. I really like this idea and I would have taken a brownie! -Shea
WOW!!! Great idea!!! I'm not really surprised that people didn't take the brownies but it really goes to show people's level of trust! Fabulous job! -Zoe
this is such a great idea! the perfect way to test rust in a community! i wonder if more people would have taken brownies if she were more outgoing or aggressive about giving them to people? btw, i would have taken one... :) -Ethan S.G.
This one was really funny.. I liked the part where the old man comes and looks inside the basket and then walks away. It shows how people can't trust anyone anymore.
I truley enjoyed this video (and the brownie you gave me! <3 ) I am not totally surprised at the people that you didn't know who refused a cookie though.... but who can't trust Brodie? She rocks! good job on lab!
I love your experiment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! However, it gave me a big ol' headache to watch it sideways. Still, it was worth it and was a fantastically original and insightful way of exploring social capital. Also, the video where you were attacked by the child is one of the best video moments of my teaching career. Thank you so much for being attacked. You guys did an excellent and thorough job of exploring and documenting social capital in your lives. WHOOT!
Have you ever considered if people that passed by you were on a diet?

ReplyDeleteThis is a relatively common scenario, but I don't think I would have thought of it. Nice job!

Hahahaha! This is kinda sad...how people didn't take any brownies! I don't know if I would take one myself though. Good job :)

ReplyDeleteGood Job. This goes to show how much nobody trusts anyone nowadays. I guess I can't talk, I probably would not have taken one.
